口パクの極意：The ultimate lip singing

このビデオ知ってますか？ The Two Chinese Boys という、美大生の友人二人がふざけて作ったホームビデオなのですが、数年前から出回っているそうです（貼付けてあるのは、２００５年作）。私はつい最近発見したのですが、もう、爆笑でした。一気に惚れ込みました。（笑）

Have you seen this video of "The Two Chinese Boys"? I guess it is well known in some circles since a few years back (the video was made in 2005). I just got to know it, and oh boy, I am laughing like crazy watching it!

寮に住んでいるようで、まさにそれらしい部屋で撮影されています。笑えるのは、細かい所もなんです。まさに、ルーム メイトらしい子が、背景で微動だにせずにいるのですが、それとなく参加してるんですよね。だって、お揃いのコスチュームを着てるんだもの．．．

These boys are art students living in a dorm, where they filmed the video. What makes me smile is the details, too - the roomie who stay completely unaffected in the background - he is wearing the matching costume, too!

こういう馬鹿っぽいことをおもいきりしちゃう創造力と若いエネルギーっていいですよね。このゼツミョーな動きのタイミングを観てみてください。完璧です！

I love these silly creativity and energy to make it happen. Look at the great timing of the movement - it is perfect!



本国中国では（そして世界中でも）大ブレイクしたそうです。ふざけて作ったビデオが、人生を変えた訳ですね。（笑）なんでも、英語のブログも持っているとか。リクエストを受け付けているそうです。

Apparently, they have become quite famous in China (and other places over the world). These videos changed their lives, it seems. They have a blog in English, in which they take requests.

Michael Jackson & "We are the World"

マイケル ジャクソンが亡くなりました。彼が重力に反して舞台を動く姿を見て育った世代にはショックなニュースです。ミュージシャンとしても有名人としてのイメージも特に好きではないのですが、ここ４０年ほどのポップ界の代表であった訳で．．．ちょっといたたまれないのは、一番人気が亡くなった頃に人生を終える事になったことです。死んでから、いきなり皆（マスコミとか）彼に好意的になってます。こんなに惜しまれるとは、本人思ってなかったでしょうね。なんだかダイアナ妃のことを彷彿とさせます。

Michael Jackson died yesterday. It is shocking for people who spent their childhood watching him dance like a spaceman. I didn't like him particularly for his music or tabloid image, but he was the icon I was always familiar with. It is sad that he had to end his life in one of the lowest points of his career. Is it just me, or people suddenly start to praise him after he passed away? Reminds me of Princess Diana incident!



このミュージック ビデオはかなり好きだったのを覚えています。マイケル君が筆頭にたって、８０年代のゴージャスな顔ぶれのシンガー達が団結して、「アフリカを救え！」と歌っています。そういう事を言い出したのは、ボノが最初ではなかったのですね。

I remember this video very well - "We are the World" was produced by him and featured so many top-notch 80's singers. I had forgotten that it was for 'Save Africa' movement - Bono wasn't the first singer to take action for it, huh?

ちなみに私は、有名なスリラーなどのアルバムはそれほど好きではなかったのですが、９０年代に入ってから出た Black or White は結構はまってました。ミュージック ビデオ （HDです）を貼付ける事が出来ないので、こちらのリンクからどうぞ。

スパゲティーの木：Spaghetti trees

スパゲティーが、１９５７年のスイスのイタリア語圏、ティチーノ地方では驚くほどの豊作だったそうです。たわわに実ったスパゲティーを収穫する農家の人々の様子をBBCのリポートをどうぞ。

The spaghetti crop in 1957 was particularly rich in Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. Enjoy the images of happy farmers harvesting never ending fruit of spaghetti from trees. It is a BBC report.



なんちゃって、エイプリル フールの企画だったそうですが．．．なかなか良く出来てます。

Well, it was an April-Fool's Day joke, it turned out. But it is pretty well-done, isn't it?

Bugs Bunny's What's Opera, Doc?

Warner Bros の Looney Tunes シリーズの大作、” What's Opera, Doc? ” はオペラに行ったことがある人にはたまらない作品です。ほんと、こんな感じなんですよね、テンポとか話の展開とか。特にワーグナーの "タンホイザー”と”ニーベルンゲンの歌” をパロディーしたらしい。1957年、Chuck Jones 作です。
